As you may already know, I use Mindjet’s MindManager extensively; for project discovery, assessment, SharePoint design and project management. All of these document artifacts could be accomplished using Visio, Word and Microsoft Project; but my primary tool is MindManager. I still use the Microsoft Office suite extensively; but these alone can be somewhat limiting in certain circumstances.
On most projects, I have the opportunity to work remotely (lucky me)! And, on most projects, there is a decentralized group of individuals I need to collaborate with; specifically discovery, assessment, design and planning documentation. I use Mindjet’s Catalyst product to aid with this collaboration and love it! If you are unfamiliar with Catalyst, I highly recommend you take a look at it. In general, you can collaborate on maps live; on the fly.
If you use different platforms, as I do, you will also find MindManager is supported on Windows, Mac, and even my iPad.
