Session Description
In past sessions, we have learned about the need to deliberately architect and design solutions in SharePoint, improving storage/management and findability. In this session I will discuss and demonstrate how to effectively apply data and site structure taxonomies using SharePoint technologies. I will describe and demonstrate techniques and best practices for implementing a content type hub, content type structures, metadata, managed metadata and the term store. In addition, I will demonstrate how these techniques improve the storage and management of content, promote a higher degree of search result relevancy and produce aggregate content views to support various contextual needs.
